At Friends School we view our learning environment as a collaborative effort between families and teachers.  We expect families at Friends to be engaged in the school community, however because many of our parents work full time, we offer a range of cooperative responsibilities.


Cooperative duties might include:

  • Volunteering time as an assistant in the classroom

  • Participating as a board member

  • Fundraising Committee

  • Prospective Parent Tours

  • PR/Marketing/Development Committee

  • Finance Committee

  • Volunteering for our Annual Gala

  • Planning and organizing fundraising events

  • Organizing classroom spaces

  • Organizing field trips

  • Publicity and Outreach

Each family has their own set of skills that can support and shape the school as a whole.  The above responsibilities represent only a partial list of possibilities, and we hope our families will share their individual ideas and resources with us.
